The Student Nurse position at Winadu is a paid summer internship centered in our camp Health Center, at the center of camp. As a Student Nurse, you will work alongside our team of 6 RNs and a full-time physician, caring for our community of 400+ children and 250+ adult staff.
The experience is extremely hands-on, fast paced and fun. Interact each day with campers and staff taking part in triage and treatment including basic first aid, wound/skin care, monitoring fevers, sore throats, ear/eye infections, and other pediatric illnesses. You will assist in reviewing all camper and staff medical forms, maintain proper EMT documents and manage camp health center supplies and inventory.
You will leave Winadu with networking opportunities, professional development and new friendships and relationships for future personal and professional connection.
